My name is Marie De Luna. I started teaching at Emerson Middle School in September 2004. I've had the pleasure of teaching at all grade levels (6th/7th/8th). I've taught ESL, 6th Grade English, 6th Grade History, Algebra, Algebra Readiness, 7th Grade Math, and Yearbook.

 

I graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a B.A. in Liberal Studies, with a concentration in English and Spanish. I continued at CSUDH and have earned a Multiple Subject (K-6) Teaching Credential with a supplemental authorization in English. I just completed and recieved my M.A. in Education, with an emphasis in Multicultural Education.

 

 

My new position at Emerson is Categorical Program Coordinator. My office is located in the Administration Building, on the first floor, next to the Main Office. As the categorical program coordinator, I oversee the Title I and the English Learner Programs.
