The sites and reference materials are previewed and tested. Yahoo Kids Science: Find reference materials, videos, jokes, experts, and more on this everything science site. National Science Foundation: The National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent federal agency created by Congress in 1950 "to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare; to secure the national defense…" The NSF site has current events, careers, ongoing research, numerous studies, videos, photos, and stories of interest. There are also many links to virtual trips, museums, exhibits and more. Science Spot: This site is a science resource for teachers and students in middle school. There are fun puzzles and trivia. The best sections for your classes focus on topics you are studying. Click on the "Kid Zone" to find exactly what you need. Renzulli Learning: Students can do online projects and activities based on their personal interests, skills, and learning styles. Your teacher must be listed for you to self enroll. Digimorph.com: Check out this National Science Foundation digital library. The site has "digital morphology and high-resolution X-ray computed tomography of biological specimens."
